What We Do
We develop and distribute the Natural Science Collaborative Resource Guide, an informative booklet listing agencies, organizations and businesses with natural science programs, to educators and to the community free of charge.
The Educators Fall Festival is a free event that provides area teachers and administrators an opportunity to meet agencies, organizations and businesses with natural science programs and information will benefit their students.
We hold a series of Monday Night Nature Programs throughout the year at the Palm Desert Library, a mid valley location. These programs are free to the public.
The California Desert Nature Festival www.CaliforniaDesertNatureFestival.com is held the second weekend in April to simply appreciate our desert and its people.
There are free programs for children at the Kids Habitat with activities and experiences to enrich their natural science education. Field trips from the Salton Sea to the High Desert highlight our desert treasures. Free seminars include programs on animals, insects, native plants, gardening, art, music and literature all with a desert connection.
The Desert Naturally is a series of multi media materials being produced to provide young people and their families with informative and entertaining natural science lessons and activities. This is part of the Mother Nature Live series.
